East Baton Rouge, LA tweaks sign code to make it easier to go after businesses placing illegal roadside signs. Previously, law enforcement had to witness someone placing the signs. The change allows law enforcement to track down those in violation.

Carlsbad, NM extends its moratorium on new signs, billboards while it works on a new sign code. The current sign code does not include limits on size and height of large signs and billboards.
